Located just off the Royal Mile, Laila’s is owned by the very friendly Jamal of Pomegranate and Hanam’s. The menu features a variety of mezze and light bites, along with mains. My last visit was in between Fringe shows and being short on time I opted for the chicken shawarma wrap with a salad. In spite of the festival season, we were seated and attended to promptly. The food arrived quickly and was very filling. If the weather is friendly, sitting outdoors is definitely recommended as there is lots to watch going by.

Halal: All menu items, except venison salami.
